Membership Obligations & Working Practice

The RLBA seeks to create a vibrant, competitive market for Residential Property Logbooks that offers consumers and industry partners innovation and variation.  But we recognise there are significant institutional, regulatory and behavioural hurdles to overcome.

Members are asked to recognise the principle that, while we are all competitive companies, working together can help create the market conditions for all Members to succeed. To that end, we ask RLBA Members commit to the following:

2.1 All members agree to work constructively towards the joint goals outlined in the first section of this form.

2.1 All members should seek to contribute to the RLBA goals through active participation in projects, engagement with shareholders and development of policy.

2.2 No member company should seek to use the RLBA activity (introductions, meetings, presentations etc) to further their own business aims over any other members’ business.

2.3 To follow agreed RLBA practice around meetings, presentations, press coverage and contacts:

2.3.1 All meetings set up under RLBA auspices should be open to all RLBA members (or core project members as appropriate)

2.3.2 Organising members will invite other members to contribute to the objectives and structure of the meetings

2.3.3 All RLBA presentations will use RLBA presentation formats not individual company formats.

2.3.4 Individual company logos, images and demos can be used if the opportunity is offered to all participating companies

2.3.5 A ‘contact report’ email outlining key outcomes is distributed to RLBA members after the meeting

2.4  To actively bring their product technical standards into alignment with the stated ‘RLBA Property Logbook Standard’.

2.5 To support the development and industry adoption of the RLBA shared infrastructure.

2.6 All members will be able to display the ‘RLBA Member’ logo on their marketing materials.
